Code of Conduct

Welcome to the Code of Conduct for Grandmas in Business. At the heart of our community is a shared commitment to professionalism, respect, and collaboration. This code of conduct serves as a compass, guiding us toward fostering an environment where every member can thrive, learn, and contribute to the collective success. As grandmas in business, we embrace not only our entrepreneurial spirit but also the values that define our interactions. This page outlines the principles that ensure our community remains a supportive and empowering space, nurturing both our individual enterprises and the bonds that tie us together.
We honor the diversity within our community and respect everyone’s individual identities. We remind all members to avoid assuming another’s pronouns based on their online personas or profile images. Regardless of the pronouns one uses, everyone is equally welcomed and cherished here.
Our community seeks to celebrate the profound legacy of women aged 45 and beyond, fondly referred to as “Grandmas.” These trailblazers, who remember the 80s and 90s, have navigated their way through societal norms, patriarchy, and workplace biases, carving a path for future generations of women. Their battles and triumphs have ushered in an era where younger women can enjoy liberties and opportunities that they themselves had to fight for. Our term “Grandmas” transcends biological relationships and pays homage to all mature women who have played the nurturing role of a grandmother, mentor, or guide to the younger generation. Whether they’re grandmothers, grand-aunts, or simply mentors, their wisdom, patience, and experiences are the guiding lights, inspiring and shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
We encourage open, honest, and sensitive discussions to foster mutual support and collaborative problem-solving. Considering the confidential nature of some topics, we request members to respect privacy and not disclose any information shared within these spaces without prior permission. It’s essential to remember that shared content can be viewed by numerous people, hence any sharing of posts or experiences must have the original poster’s consent.
We uphold the collective responsibility of maintaining a positive, inclusive, and uplifting community. Any messages, comments, or actions promoting hatred or discrimination, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, and ableism, are strictly prohibited. Such violations may lead to removal from our community spaces, both online and offline.
Believe in the good intent of fellow members. However, if any inappropriate or hurtful remarks are made, it’s crucial to address their impact. Members are encouraged to report any offensive content to the community administrators.
We encourage active participation and the expression of diverse voices. However, be mindful of the space you occupy and step back when necessary to let others share their experiences. Our learning journey is enriched by our diversity!
We appreciate the valuable time and effort members invest in providing guidance, advice, and support to one another. Recognize the contribution of others, reciprocate the kindness, and always thank them for their help. Strive to pay it forward whenever possible. After all, the strength of our community lies in our collective generosity.
